In response to the cancelling of operations at Ysbyty Gwynedd due a coronavirus outbreak, Plaid Cymru Shadow Minister for Health, Rhun ap Iorwerth MS said,

“Hospital outbreaks are a huge concern in terms of the risk they pose to staff and patients, their wider implications for public health, as well as their impacts on the ability to continue with a range of healthcare services.

“The covid-induced backlog within our NHS has caused waiting times to soar and key services to be postponed. Tackling this in the coming months and years will be a huge challenge – one that Plaid Cymru is ready to take on.”
