Barry Island, Wales, 1st March 2021: To celebrate St. David’s Day this year, Papa John’s has added a new recruit to its fantastic delivery team.
Introducing: ‘Dave’ who – we won’t lie to you – will be serving up proper tasty slices to the residents of Barry Island in an extra-special ‘Dave’s Pizzas’ delivery coach. Sounds crackin’, right?
As a local coach driver, Dave has forever lived in the shadows of Barry Island coach drivers that have gone before. However, for one day only, he has joined forces with his favourite delivery chain to give the gift of pizza in celebration of the national day.
Pizza lovers will be in with a chance of getting their dish delivered by Dave in the lush new coach by ordering from Papa John’s, Barry, on Monday 1st March. It’s gonna be tidy.
Giles Codd, Marketing Director at Papa John’s said:
“To mark St David’s Day in 2021, we wanted to do something a little different, so it gives me great pleasure to welcome ‘Dave’ to our delivery team. We’re excited to celebrate the best way we know how, by delivering delicious and piping hot pizza to the residents of Barry Island in our new ‘Dave’s Pizzas’ coach.
“We hope that our Dave’s Pizzas coach will be instantly recognisable to the people of Barry and we’re hoping to crack a few smiles along the way, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled.”
Truth be told, pizza lovers need to act fast if they want to receive a delivery from Dave, as the one-off coach will be driving the roads of Barry Island for one day only on Monday 1st March.
Papa John’s is also encouraging residents of Barry to snap and share an image of Dave’s Pizza coach in action on social media to spread some St. David’s Day cheer. Not on Barry Island? To keep track of Dave’s progress, head to @papajohnsuk for updates from the main man himself.
