Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) will be carrying out an assurance check of social services in Ceredigion in early May.

The purpose of the assurance check is to review how well local authority social services continue to help adults, carers, children and families at this difficult time and their plans for sustainability of services into the future.

The assurance check will focus on how well local authorities deliver services, support people to keep themselves safe and promote their own well-being.

CIW will also look at how well the Local Authority discharges its statutory functions to keep people who need care and support and carers who need support, safe and promote their well-being during the pandemic. They will also look at how well the Local Authority prevents the need for children to come in to care; and are children returning home to their families quickly enough, where safe to do so.

CIW wants to hear about your experience of asking for information, advice and assistance and we will try to understand what difference receiving services has made to you or your family.

You will not have to share any personal information, and you can remain anonymous. However, if you tell us about someone being abused or neglected CIW have a duty to share the information with others to prevent further harm.

At the end of the assurance check, CIW will share their findings with the Local Authority so improvements can be considered.

Your views are important and you can contribute by telephone or video call on 0300 790 0126. Alternatively, you can complete this survey: CIW Assurance Check
