Coffee/Bingo Evening
On Monday 10 October there is a Coffee/Bingo evening at the Royal British Legion Headquarters. Entrance 40p members and guests. Bingo last books 8.20pm.
Brass Band Contest
Burry Port Town Band will be hosting the West Wales Brass Band Association Contest on 8 October in the Memorial Hall, Burry Port. This bi-annual contest has now over 38 competing Senior Bands and newly featured Junior Ensemble and Youth Band sections with 3 bands in each.
The full schedule starts at 10:30am until early evening when the Championship section featuring 7 bands including Burry Port Town will be on stage playing their own selected music.
Entry ticket for the whole day is just £4 per person available on the door including a free tea or coffee. Under 16s free entry.
Autumn Fayre
This is on 26 October in the Memorial Hall annexe at 2pm.There will be various stalls including white elephant, cakes, books, bric a brac, and plants. Proceeds to be shared between the local hospice and the air ambulance charity. Entrance 50p to include tea or coffee and biscuits.
Burry Port Christian Forum
The Forum’s Youth Cafe meets again in Ty Mair, the Plant Dewi Centre on the Junior School site, Stepney Road on Thursday from 7-9pm.Young people of 13+ years are warmly invited. Admission free. There is pool, table football, table tennis, X Box, refreshments, games and discussion, and a free cup of hot chocolate. For more information ring 07946 583110.
