Three new businesses have opened in Llanelli Indoor Market – giving shoppers even more of a choice.

Staggy’s has relocated from the town centre into the market hall. The business, which started in December 2014, sells alternative and Gothic clothing, jewellery and ornaments. You can also find band and TV series t-shirts.

Owner Vincent Stagg said: “Moving to the market has been great. As a small business it’s really helping trading in the market as I don’t have as many overheads and since being in the market I’m getting more business because people are able to see more of the products.”

D&D Children’s Clothing and Accessories started three years ago trading at outdoor markets across South West Wales.

The business, which recently set up in the market, sells quality children’s clothing from socks to complete outfits for children aged from 2-12-year-olds. All prices are under £10.

Owner Linda Hornsey said: “We were attracted to the indoor market because of the vagaries of the weather and the community spirit.”

Also opened is Daisy Maes – a young ladies fashion clothing business which sells clothing from sizes 4 upwards.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s executive board member with responsibility for the markets, Cllr David Jenkins, said: “It’s always great to see new businesses setting up, adding new vibrancy to the market and a greater choice for shoppers. I would like to wish them all the best for their future in Llanelli Indoor Market.”
