hasta World and Sophie Medlin have partnered to offer all hasta clients industry leading dietary advice. In line with Diabetes Week, the announcement coincides with the start-up’s latest partnership with Fresh Fitness Food, cementing hasta’s focus on wellbeing starting from within.
The past 18 months have shown an overwhelming majority of employees and businesses are taking stock of their unhealthy habits, starting with food consumption. Companies are proactively searching for solutions for their employees to ensure their wellbeing and physical health. Sophie Medlin, Chair of the British Dietetic Association for London, will be on hand to provide her scientific expertise to all of hasta’s clients from June 2021.
Speaking about the partnership, Sophie commented, “I have spent my career advising individuals and businesses on all aspects of their nutrition and specifically any illnesses arising from these matters. hasta is working with a growing number of corporate clients who are taking a proactive approach towards their employees’ overall wellbeing. I’m excited to work with the team and help their clients ensure their staff are better equipped to lead a more healthy and fulfilled life.”
With nearly 15 years experience, Sophie Medlin has lectured in some of the UK’s top institutions. She is well versed in a range of dietary related illnesses, including diabetes. With over 4.5million people in the UK suffering with type 2 diabetes*, healthy choices in the workplace have never been more paramount.
Sophie notes, “If you develop diabetes or are told you have pre-diabetes, you will need to be extra cautious of your diet to ensure that the condition does not escalate too quickly. Having healthy choices available in the workplace is imperative. Diabetes eating advice is fairly similar to general healthy eating recommendations so workplaces need not be concerned with catering specifically to people with diabetes, as long as they are focused on offering healthy, balanced meals and snacks. With hasta, I believe we can provide the appropriate support for all employees.”
Dylan Salamon, Director of Wellbeing at hasta World, said, “Throughout lockdown, many people have struggled to maintain healthy habits and eating patterns. We have found a growing demand for in-depth insight and education around diet and overall nutrition. Sophie is a highly regarded expert in this field and I am thrilled she is sharing her knowledge with our clients.”
hasta will be providing bespoke advice from today and companies can utilise the service by contacting Dylan. (dsalamon@hastaworld.com)
