Sixteen-year-old Amelia Davies from Fishguard has just become a Platinum Hockey Young Ambassador – one of only two in Wales.
The Ysgol y Preseli pupil’s success comes from her incredible commitment to the Hockey Wales Young Ambassador (YA) programme over several years.
Amelia of Fishguard & Goodwick Hockey Club has worked her way through the YA system with the support of local Hockey Agent, Angela Miles.
“Amelia is enthusiastic about helping younger players learn the skills and tactics of the game,” said Angela.
“She has shown commitment to the programme by attending local meetings and been an integral part of the Hockey Wales YA Steering Group, and is always on hand to advise on what young people want.
“We are extremely proud of Amelia’s achievements here in Pembrokeshire.”
Amelia is also a Sport Wales Gold Ambassador with Sport Pembrokeshire.
