TWO people have been fined for failing to clean up after their dogs.

Council environmental enforcement officers issued a fixed penalty notice for £75 to a man in Penlan Park in Llandeilo.

Another man has also been fined in a separate incident in Stanley Road, Llanelli.

Executive Board Member for Environmental and Public Protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “Failing to clean up after your dog in a public place is against the law. Dog mess left anywhere can have serious health implications.

“Our officers carry out patrols across the county and anyone caught failing to clean up after their dog will be fined.”
