William  Edwards has completed 40 years  volunteering for the Royal Voluntary Service Ceredigion Country Cars which is a voluntary transport scheme co-ordinated by the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) and funded by Ceredigion County Council, which provides transport for residents of Ceredigion, regardless of age, who do not have transport available for essential journeys.

William, who was one of the founders of the service which started in 1977, has been a volunteer driver in the Llanilar area with the Royal Voluntary Service for 40 years. The Service presented William with his long service medal in recognition of his service to volunteering.

The Service would like to thank William for all his years of dedication to volunteering.

William, at the age of 89, has decided to hang up his keys. He will be solely missed by all.

The award  was presented by Simon Rickard  who is the Service Manager for the area.

If you would like to join Ceredigion Country Cars as a volunteer driver or, in deed have a need to use the service, please contact…. Bob Evans 07812485809…
