The motorist who died after the Vauxhall Insignia he was driving was involved in a single vehicle collision in Fforestfach, Swansea has been named.

He is Christopher Montenegro, 36, from Fforestfach.

Christopher’s wife has paid tribute to him, saying:

“Chris, known to most people as ‘Monty’, was my husband, my best friend and my soul mate.

“I cannot tell you how much of an amazing and brilliant person he was.

“He was a son, brother, and most of all father to our two beautiful children and life will never be the same without him.

“He had so many friends and people around that loved him. His passions were his running and hiking and he was such a fit man.  He was my rock and the person I turned to as he just always knew what to do.

“I will somehow have to find the strength to continue on without him.

“Finally, as a family we would like to pass our heartfelt thanks to all the emergency services who attended the scene and tried to help.”
