Children from a Swansea school have been given the VIP treatment as a reward for their success in a crime prevention quiz.

Pupils from St Joseph’s Primary enjoyed a special day visiting the South Wales Police dogs and horses section in Bridgend followed by a trip to McDonalds and a game of tenpin bowling.

The visit was part of their prize after beating off stiff competition to win the quiz which was based on subjects relevant to primary school children and took place at the Dylan Thomas Centre involving six schools.

The quiz was sponsored by RJ Davies and Sons Funeral Directors who kindly provided shields for the winners and a buffet for those who took part.

The winning team are pictured with local PCSOs Andrew Norman and Patrick Dunbar during the visit to Waterton.
