Association for the Independence of Disabled People Raises Funds for Motor Neurone Disease Drug Trial With Launch of Memory AID Tax Disc

Once upon a time when the police stopped a motorist for a traffic offence, the first thing they checked was the licence disc on the windscreen to ensure that the car was currently taxed and the registration number on the tax disc matched that on the car. That was then!

Today, electronic wizardry has changed all that… The DVLA has given us naked windscreens and electronics have given the police x-ray eyes. When they stop you, they know precisely when your car tax, insurance and MOT run out and if you haven’t paid your dues, they know that too… The question is, DO YOU?

Without a tax disc on the windscreen there is nothing to draw your attention to the expiry dates of the three most important documents in your motoring life and the absence of any one of these can put you off the road or cost you a small fortune in fines.
