Summer Open Art Exhibition 2015 @ Oriel Q – Queens Hall Gallery

Oriel Q – Queens Hall Gallery presents the Open 2015. Organised by the Friends of the gallery and curated by gallery manager Lynne Crompton, the show brings together over 60 artists from all over Pembrokeshire, Swansea and Cardiff, Bristol, London and beyond.

This competition with x 3 prizes for the artist’s, judged by acclaimed Wales based creatives, replaces the annual art auction. There is also a ‘People’s Choice Award’ so come along and vote to show your support for the Arts!

The exhibition showcases painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture’s and artist books. It is an excellent taster of contemporary art and contemporary artistic practices.

Also on show James Devine. Here, Devine has placed a series of photographs exploring the geographical formations of the landscape of Pembrokeshire, on the stairway art-space. The abstract pattern’s are caught to great effect on camera.

And, finally, artist and educator, Lee Phillips, is back as this month’s artist in residence.
The gallery will be open Monday – Saturday from 10am – 5pm. Admission is free! All
