Soldiers from 14th Signal Regiment in Brawdy will be helping to showcase the abundance of fantastic Pembrokeshire produce at Haverfordwest Farmers Market’s summer extravaganza on Friday (24th July).

The soldiers will be deploying their field kitchen and holding demonstrations throughout the day, barbecuing a range of delicious local produce for shoppers to sample.

“This is a great opportunity for us to display the skills of our chefs and a chance for the local community to see the wide variety of career opportunities offered by the Army,” said Major Mark Wilford from the 14th Signal Regiment.

Stallholders will be selling a wide variety of seasonal produce including minted lamb and Chinese pork ribs, and lamb and vegetable kebabs (Cig Lodor Meat).

Cuckoo Mill will have marinated turkey steaks and turkey kebabs, and there will be grilled Caerphilly cheese brushed with Danny’s Chilli Sauce (Teifi Farmhouse Cheeses), freshly caught filleted mackerel (Claws) and samphire (Springfields).

There are also homemade chutneys and relishes (Country Market), freshly baked bread (Welsh Bakery) and much more.

Haverfordwest Farmers Market is held at Riverside Shopping every Friday between 9am and 3pm.
