Letter to the Editor sent on behalf of Ansley Workman, Director of RNIB Cymru:
If the past 18 months have taught us anything, it’s that we must take care of our health. This includes the health of our eyes.
This Eye Health Week (20-26 of September) one of the most important ways you can protect your eyes is by having your regular eye test at your local optometrists.
Optometrists will not only test whether you may need glasses or not, but they will also check the general health of your eyes. If they have any concerns, they will then refer you to your local eye clinic.
Optometrists are open and welcoming customers through their doors every day. Their additional covid measures make sure staff and customers are staying as safe as possible.
Identifying some eye conditions early and treating them effectively could help save sight. So, if you are due your sight test, the very best thing you can do today is book your eye test.
Best Wishes,
Ansley Workman
