GREENFIELD FAMILY NEWS:

Jack Cooke continues to be at Prince Philip. Vi Royster is also at Prince Philip. Alan Hancock has been in hospital and is now home.

BIBLE STUDY:

We have greatly blessed over the last four weeks as Doreen Hartland has led our Bible studies around the theme ‘The Christian God’ Our thanks to Doreen for leading us despite the sad loss of Peter. Doreen has kindly agreed to another course during Lent next year.

CHRISTMAS CARDS:

The Greenfield Christmas cards are on sale. Ann Vaughan Jones has kindly agreed to sell the cards. Priced at £3 for 10 and any profits will be for the good causes we support as a church.

LEUKEMIA RESEARCH:

The local Leukemia research committee are holding a concert in the chapel on Thursday 10th November. Taking part will be the Morriston RFC Choir, Voices in Harmony, Bryn School choir, Eve Darling Owen – Soprano. Compare Dennis Jenkins (Denny Twp) All proceeds to the local Leukemia Committee. Tickets (£8) from Barry Lewis Llanelli Market and Carol Jones on Llanelli 773349.

There will also be a concert on Saturday 19th November in aid of one of our young people who is going abroad to do mission and voluntary work next summer with the Ezra and Nehemiah Trust. Taking part will be the Swansea Male Gospel Choir. An offering will be taken in the concert.

CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED:

The new Christianity Explored is held on Tuesday at 7.30pm and on Wednesday at 1.10pm. The teenagers are also be following the course on Sunday mornings and there’s a welcome to everyone to come along and learn more about the truths of the Christian faith.

The Tuesday meeting is a warm friendly fellowship and concludes with coffee. If you are unable to come on Tuesdays then there’s always Wednesdays! 1.10pm until 1.50pm. If you are unable to come every week that’s no problem there’s a helpful course book for all who attend and each session begins with a film introduction.

SPONSORED WALK

The annual Sponsored walk this year was held in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust ( Wales ) The amount raised was £2500 and this will be presented on Sunday 27th November during the morning service.
