Lisa Shepherd,
National Boss Day, 16th October, acknowledges and celebrates the leaders In the workplace.

Dreams do come true, as Lisa Shepherd, one of the most awarded and profiled female colourists in the UK today, has showcased.

Lisa has been a leader in the hair industry for many years, from winning the British Hairdresser of the Year Award, to acting as the UK and Global Colour Ambassador for Schwarzkopf, L’Oreal and Redken.

Lisa also became a household name through her time on Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger, as the Resident Colour Expert, creating stunning hair transformations.

Lisa has taken her wealth of expertise, spotting gaps in the market and has now created her very own hair care range that her and her team uses in her salon each and every day. She is currently the only female hairdresser with products on shelf in Superdrug. Her range, The Hair Boss By Lisa Shepherd, tackles real-life, everyday hair dilemmas.

We asked Lisa to spill her top 3 career tips for anyone looking to turn their ideas into a reality…

1.“Always trust your gut and believe in what you’ve mastered”

2.“Let your talent and instinct drive you. Lead, never follow, even if that means putting on a brave face”

3.“We all face obstacles in our careers. You can either let them hold you back or you can overcome them. My advice would be to take them in your stride. The most successful people face a number of hurdles, numerous times. Breathe, smile, get back up, dust yourself off & go again.”

The Hair Boss By Lisa Shepherd is available to purchase from ASOS, Superdrug & www.thehairboss.co.uk.
