I’M A CELEB FLASH: Miller remains favourite to be King of castle with 24 hours to go

• William Hill currently has ex-Emmerdale star Danny Miller is 11-4 favourite to win the show outright, while Dame Arlene Phillips has long been touted as first to be eliminated.
• The 10 stars have arrived at the castle in luxury cars with IAC 21 reg plates and have already undergone the first trial – Walk The Plank.
• Singer turned Loose Women panellist Frankie Bridge is 4-1 second favourite, while football legend David Ginola is also in the mix, having climbed to 11-2.
• William Hill will be right across all things I’m A Celeb for the duration of the 17th series. 

With just 24 hours to go until this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Hits our screens, ex-Emmerdale star Danny Miller continues to lead the way as William Hill’s 11-4 favourite for a North Wales Coronation.

David Ginola, Louise Minchin, Snoochie Shy, Richard Madeley, Frankie Bridge, Kadeena Cox, Matty Lee, Naughty Boy, Miller and Arlene Phillips are the campmates braving this year’s series. 

Miller, 30, who joined the soap back in 2008 and quit recently after 13 years as Aaron Dingle, is a three-time Best Actor winner at the British Soap Awards. He has reportedly been learning bits of Welsh and has even gone as far as not showering for five days, in anticipation of the curtain being lifted on I’m A Celeb’s 17th series.

Filming is already well underway with the class of 2021, who were chauffeur driven to the Welsh castle in luxury Jaguar cars, with IAC 21 reg plates, before being whisked off to Alexandra Quarry, near Penyffridd, where they ‘Walked The Plank’ for the show’s opening challenge.

Following Miller across the drawbridge was The Saturdays star Frankie Bridge, a 4-1 shot, who competes five years after husband Wayne entered the Australian jungle.

Newcastle United legend David Ginola has found favour ahead of the show being broadcast and is available at 11-2, continuing the long-standing tradition of former footballers, while enigmatic breakfast host Richard Madeley, recently confirmed as permanent Good Morning Britain host, is 6-1.

Next up is King of the cobbles Simon Gregson (7-1), aka Corrie’s Steve McDonald, who has yet to be named as officially entering the castle, but is widely anticipated to join the show as a wildcard at a later date. As is EastEnders’ Ian Beale legend Adam Woodyatt, who had drifted in the market to 14-1, after healthy initial interest.

BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin looks to be the last of the serious contenders, for now at least, at 8-1, after swapping the famous red sofa for the castle, after more than 20 years on the flagship breakfast news programme.

Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips, 78, who has choreographed a number of West End and Broadway musicals, remains 10-3 favourite to be the first to waltz out of the castle, and is the biggest price – 40-1 – to be crowned Queen of the castle.
