- Tess Daly’s wardrobe averages at £929 per show.

After wowing the nation week after week with their dazzling outfits throughout this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing, what outfits can we expect to see from presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman in the Strictly final on Saturday night?
The research, conducted by fabric experts Dalston Mill Fabrics, analysed every outfit worn by the two presenters each Saturday night and found that the average price of Tess’ outfits on the Saturday night live shows is almost three times more expensive than Claudia’s. Claudia shows a preference for a combination of both high-street and designer brands resulting in a lower average cost of £326 per outfit. Whereas Tess has consistently displayed a taste for designer brands resulting in an average outfit cost of £929.
The most expensive outfit worn by Tess is a black sequin and velvet dress from week two of the series made by Galia Lahav costing £2,600. She paired this outfit with a more understated pair of plain black YSL stilettos to complete the look.
In contrast, the cheapest item worn by Tess this series is from week ten. She wore a £250 classic red midi dress designed by Hasan Hejazi, paired with some red heels and a red lip.
Tess’s most popular look is a bespoke Suzanne Neville pink embellished dress. The Strictly presenter posted her week five look to her followers on Instagram which received 34,790 likes – more than any other outfit post.
Claudia’s most expensive Saturday night outfit is her week one outfit made by luxury designers Self Portrait and Alexander McQueen costing £860. She paired a £270 white frill collar pussy-bow blouse with a pair of mid-rise flared trousers in white at a price point of £590.
The cheapest outfit worn by Claudia is from the week nine musicals special this series. Claudia wore a black sequinned crossover dress from high-street brand Zara costing just £60. She paired the V-neck mini dress with black tights and black heels to complete her festive look.
The most popular look for Claudia this series is her week four look made by designer Nadine Merabi. She posed in an embellished black jumpsuit on her Instagram and received 37,704 likes making it her most liked Strictly outfit post this series.
A spokesperson for Dalston Mill Fabrics commented on the findings: “Co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman never fail to wow BBC viewers with their glamorous looks when presenting Strictly Come Dancing every Saturday night. Millions of viewers tune into the show every week, so it is no surprise that designer brands dream to have them showcase their pieces and are willing to make bespoke dresses specifically for Tess and Claudia. With the final just around the corner, it will be fascinating to see what Tess and Claudia wear to send off the series.”
