A traditional cooked breakfast is one of the best ways to highlight the quality of Welsh farm produce and it is a great opportunity to talk and share your thoughts before starting the day.

In order to promote the health benefits and enjoy a delicious meal, the Farmersā€™ Union of Wales (FUW) Caernarfonshire team is once again hosting a series of farmhouse breakfasts.

Confirmed breakfast events are being held on:

Monday, January 17: Siop Fferm a Caffi Abersoch, Sarn Bach, PwllheliĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā

Tuesday, January 18: Fferm Bryn Hynog, Llannor, Pwllheli

Friday, January 21: Caffi Anneā€™s Cafe, Bryncir Livestock Market, Bryncir

FUW Caernarfonshire Senior CEO Gwynedd Watkin said:

ā€œI look forward to our farmhouse breakfasts every year, and this year especially after missing the opportunity last year. We can start the day together in a positive and healthy way and at the same time raise money for our charitable causes which are the DPJ Foundation and the fund towards the LlÅ·n and Eifionydd National Eisteddfod 2023 Crown, which is to be donated by the FUW Caernarfonshire County Branch.

ā€œOver the years, the Caernarfonshire breakfasts alone have raised over Ā£65,000 and weā€™re looking for yet another good turnout this year. Itā€™s fair to say that a healthy start is not just good for a healthy heart but also for a healthy mind. As they say, eat breakfast like a King.ā€

The FUWā€™s Farmhouse breakfast week (Monday 17 January – Sunday 23 January) also provides an opportunity to promote the quality premium local produce that farmers produce in a sustainable way, and throughout breakfast week the FUW will shine a spotlight on the importance of our rural economy.

Gwynedd Watkin added:

ā€œ We want you to be a part of what we do, and share your thoughts and worries about the state of the industry, tell us your stories and help us to understand how we can help each other, and what better way to do that than around a table where we share great food and have a cup of tea.ā€

Breakfast guests are being asked to bring their Covid pass or negative lateral flow test result with them on the day. Masks must be worn in line with Welsh Government advice.

For more information on how to book your seat at the breakfast table contact the Caernarfonshire office on 01286 672541.
