Police appeal for help with Station Road air rifle assault

Temporary Detective Inspector Louise Harries said: “Dyfed-Powys Police is continuing to investigate two incidents that occurred in Station Road, Llanelli on the afternoon of the 25-08-15.

The two men that were arrested on suspicion of assault, following the incident reported at approx. 3.50pm, remain in police custody pending further enquiries. The man taken to hospital has since been released following treatment.

“There have been no arrests at this time in connection with the incident  that occurred at approx. 5.45pm where a male was injured by what is believed to be an air rifle. The male injured, sought medical treatment but was not detained in hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed either of these incidents, or has any information in relation to them, to contact police by calling 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

“We would like to thank the public for their understanding during the disruption yesterday afternoon and last night, as the priority was to ensure the safety of all in the area.”
