Scarlets today announce that a comprehensive marketing campaign over the last six months has resulted in a record increase in the number of sponsors for the forthcoming season.

With the first home game of the Guinness PRO12 little over a week away the Scarlets are gearing up for a busy season with success already evident off the field.

Scarlets Chief Executive Officer Darran Phillips said: “We have been very active in engaging, and in some cases re-engaging, with local businesses to get them involved with the Scarlets.

“What is most encouraging is that the huge numbers of new sponsors is split between both local and national businesses and individuals who want to support the future of top class rugby in West Wales. It is a breadth of sponsors, not just one-off deals.”

In recent seasons Scarlets’ Business Club has gone from strength to strength as companies look for a relaxed way to network and meet on a regular basis with other companies in the area, and beyond.

Phillips went on to say: “We are now close to capacity for our existing Scarlets Business Club and are having to look at how we can extend the facilities we have at Parc y Scarlets.”
