Google search data reveals that online searches for “Koh-I-Noor” rises by 357%  in the UK on the 7th of February after reports stated the Duchess should receive the Queen Mother’s Crown after Charles accedes the throne.

A new finding by design resource Design Bundles reveals that online interest for “Koh-I-Noor” erupted over three times the average volume hours after reports on the Queen’s gift to Camilla on events that Charles became king came through.

The crown is an actual possession of the Queen Mother, adorned with 105-carat Koh-i-Noor diamond from India.

The gift is accompanied by Camilla’s role as Queen Consort when Charles takes on the role as King.

A spokesperson for Design Bundles commented on the findings:

“The intrigue created by the Queen’s gift – the Koh-I-Noor tiara demonstrates people’s interest in the rare stone which is associated with royalty.

“Every Queen Consort is coronated with a crown which not only acts as an authority symbol but highlights a display of wealth, glamour and influence. Rare stones spark similar effects in tiaras, whether worn as accessories with wedding gowns by brides, birthday outfits by celebrants, or any special celebration. A tiara signifies who is relevant at any given occasion, just as the Queen Mother’s Crown will be to Camilla in the future event of Charles’ investiture as the King.”
