Dear Editor,
As the owner of “Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park”, a tourist attraction in Gwbert, Cardigan, West Wales, I viewed the latest episode of the popular “The Apprentice” series with great interest. It featured major tourist attractions in North Wales, with candidates basing themselves in Llandudno. North Wales tourism was the biggest winner, with millions viewing this popular series.
Some of the candidates seemed pretty clueless. However, it must be said that the market for “£85 per ticket” tourist attractions in Wales is pretty limited.
We are keeping the 2022 entrance fee into “Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park ” at a modest £4–90 per adult and £3–90 per child, as in 2020 and 2021, even though all our costs have risen. Even some of the most inept of Apprentice candidates would have no problem in selling our entrance tickets.
Lord Sugar would ask me ……..” How was you making a profit at £4-90?
“My answer would be…. “I’m a Cardi …..and everyone knows that Cardis are not greedy!!”
Yours faithfully,
Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park,
Gwbert,
Cardigan,
Ceredigion.
