Dear Pledged Organisation,

We are pleased to let you know that Welsh Government’s Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing and the Economy Minister have agreed to fund Phase 4 of Time to Change Wales for the next 3 years, starting in April 2022.

Welsh Government has awarded funding to Time to Change Wales for the continuation of core activity under Phase 4 of the campaign and to further concentrate on four key areas: partnerships, employers and the workplace, health and social care and social marketing. The new phase of work will have particular focus on working with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities and employers in areas of poverty and deprivation.

Time to Change Wales is the first national campaign to tackle mental health stigma and discrimination and improve attitudes to mental health in Wales. The campaign is delivered by two leading Welsh charities, Adferiad Recovery and Mind Cymru, and funded by the Welsh Government. Time to Change Wales is driven by people with lived experience of mental health problems and Pledged Organisations who are dedicated to creating a positive mental wellbeing environment for its staff.

Time to Change Wales’ Pledged Organisations will continue to remain the key focus of the campaign’s work and we will be identifying new and exciting opportunities for employers to be more involved in amplifying the message for greater mental health understanding in the workplace.

June Jones, Interim TTCW Programme Manager said: “This is an exciting and important time for Time to Change Wales as it gears up to tackle mental health stigma and discrimination within socially deprived and minority ethnic communities. With the support from our Champions, Pledged Organisations and partners, we will ensure we provide a platform for the hidden voices and improve the understanding of mental health across all areas in Wales. Tackling stigma is the key to ensuring people across Wales have better and more supported mental health. In this way, we will build a programme that ensures that everyone can benefit equally from the anti-stigma mental health work of Time to Change Wales.”

We’d like to thank you for your continued support and dedication to the Time to Change Wales’ work and we look forward to working with you in Phase 4 and hopefully beyond.

Phase 4 of Time to Change Wales will launch in April 2022 and will continue until end of March 2025.

Best wishes,

Time to Change Wales team
