Local businesses in Ammanford are joining in the medieval theme of the Twrch Trwyth festival by decorating their shop windows.

The Rotary Club’s Stock will be in Quay Street on Friday (September 18) together with local craft market while there will be medieval themed craft workshops to enjoy on the street on Saturday before making your way to the festival in the park . Ammanford Chamber of Trade are running a Children’s Boar Challenge and have also asked local celebrities to decorate boars which will be displayed in the town centre shops windows during  Welsh Government’s Support Your High Street Campaign which runs between September 19 and 26.

A memory wall within one of the vacant shops will also display photographs of Ammanford Town Centre over the years.

Executive board member for regeneration Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “All these activities are supported by the Ammanford Town Centre Partnership with funding from Welsh Government.

“If you are visiting the Twrch Trwyth Festival pop into the town centre to see what Ammanford traders have to offer.”
