KEEP WALES TIDY EVENTS IN OCTOBER 2015 (CARMARTHENSHIRE)

Keep Wales Tidy

3rd – Risk assessment walk / working party: Troserch Woods – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.718056,-4.106011&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=16 (Car park next to Graig Fach). (9.30am onwards). Troserch Woods Society will be undertaking the bi-annual risk assessment. Volunteers are needed to help spot the risks while enjoying the peace and tranquillity the woods has to offer.

 

9th – Cleanup: Llandovery – https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zKZKytycWDzY.kkUZM7IjT1jo&usp=sharing (Market square fountain). (10am – 2.30pm). A cleanup will be held to target the town. Tools and equipment will be provided, but if possible please bring gloves.

 

12th – River cleanup: Glanamman – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.806983,-3.924608&hl=en&num=1&t=m&z=16 (Entrance to Ger Yr Afon). (10am – 12pm). Some tools and equipment will be available, but if possible please bring gloves and waders / wellingtons.

 

13th – Cleanup: Felinfoel –  https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zKZKytycWDzY.kIbo0CLvTv9o&usp=sharing (Grassed triangle area on Danyrallt / Caeglas). (10am – 12pm).  A cleanup will be held to target the housing estate. Tools and equipment will be provided, but if possible please bring gloves.

 

14th – Working party: Morfa Berwig – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.669894,-4.107728&hl=en&num=1&t=m&z=16 (End of Berwick Road). (10am – 3pm). We will be on site undertaking activities such as grass / tree cutting, litter picking, improving fencing / paths and removing overgrown vegetation. Tools and equipment will be provided, but if possible please bring gloves. This event is unsuitable for young children.

 

19th – Working party: Pontyberem – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.778634,-4.169827&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=17 (Rear of main car park). (10am – 12pm). Work can include litter picking, flytip clearance, footpath maintenance and / or community garden works. Tools and equipment will be available but if possible please bring gloves.

 

23rd – Cleanup: Sant Paul, Llanelli – https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zKZKytycWDzY.kPoUuZOj8DNA&usp=sharing (Parking area next to phone box behind Clos Sant Paul). (9.30am – 11.30am). A cleanup will be held to focus on the Sant Paul allotment and surrounding area. Meet by the parking area next to the phone box behind Clos Sant Paul. Tools and equipment will be provided, but if possible please bring gloves.

 

24th – Cleanup: Llannon – https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zKZKytycWDzY.kMGVol3EtwiI&usp=sharing (Outside the park / school on Heol Nant). (10am – 12pm). The newly formed group “Keep Mynedd Mawr Tidy” (although name TBD), will be holding the first cleanup in Llannon. Meet outside the park / school on Heol Nant. Tools and equipment will be provided, but if possible please bring gloves.
