Leading developerĀ Lovell HomesĀ has successfully launched its popularĀ Royal Victoria CourtĀ development in Newport, on the former Whiteheads steelworks, and has sold the first release of new homes.

Royal Victoria Court, located off Cardiff Road, will consist of a stunning range of two, three and four-bedroom houses and one and two-bedroom apartments, suitable for first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers alike.

The off-plan launch took place from a temporary marketing suite last weekend (Saturday 26th to Sunday 27th March), and was opened up to the 700 property seekers who registered their interest in the development.

Over the weekend, customers queued up before 10am to meet with the sales team to find out more about the homes available to purchase off-plan, and speak with an Independent Financial Advisor and Solicitor for free mortgage and legal advice.

With the first release now sold, details on the next event, on how to make an early bird reservation on a one or two-bedroom apartment at Royal Victoria Court, will soon be released to those on the database, alongside advice on getting financially qualified.

Julie Bowen, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: ā€œWeā€™re extremely excited to be sharing our highly-anticipated Royal Victoria Court development with homebuyers across the region, and weā€™re delighted at how popular the homes have been already.

ā€œThe launch was a huge success, and weā€™d like to thank all the property seekers who visited us over the weekend for their enthusiasm. The homes at this exciting new development are selling fast, so weā€™d encourage any keen purchasers to register their interest without delay, to avoid missing out on the next release.ā€

A selection of one and two-bedroom apartments at Royal Victoria Court will be available to purchase off-plan, meaning buyers can reserve their new home before itā€™s been built and have the first selection of available plots, allowing them to pick a home thatā€™s perfectly suited to their household.

Upon reservation, homes can be personalised with Lovell Homesā€™ Inspirations range, allowing homeowners to begin customising and adding personal touches before their home is complete. Subject to build stage, buyers can choose from a wide variety of standard finishes and upgrades to select from for every room of the property, including the kitchen, flooring, tiling and more.

Buying off-plan comes with financial benefits too, as purchasers can secure the price of the home before itā€™s built, meaning the value may go up over time.

For first-time buyers especially, getting onto the property ladder is a very exciting time which can be made less stressful by purchasing off-plan. Although it may be a longer wait period before the property is completed, homeowners are able to spend more time saving up money and selecting interior dƩcor, meaning their home can be perfect as soon as they step over the threshold.

Selected properties at Royal Victoria Court up to the value of Ā£250,000 will be available to purchase using the Government-backed Help to Buy ā€“ Wales scheme*, meaning only a five per cent deposit is required. The remaining amount is made up of a 75 per cent mortgage and a 20 per cent equity loan.

Situated in the desirable city of Newport, just one mile away from the city centre, Royal Victoria Court offers all the perks of city living, whilst only being a stoneā€™s throw away from the impressive Victorian Belle Vue Park and a short drive from the beautiful Welsh countryside.

An abundance of supermarkets, pubs, cafes, shops, cinemas and theatres, primary and secondary schools, a medical centre and Royal Gwent Hospital are all nearby, as well as the Friars Walk Shopping Centre.

Newport Train Station is only a five-minute drive away, and Cardiff and Chepstow are both only a half an hour drive away. Bristol is just 30 miles away, offering an easy commute with excellent road, rail and bus transport links.

Royal Victoria Court is being delivered by Lovell in partnership with Tirion Homes and with support from Welsh Government. The development will consist of 528 properties, including 264 open market sale homes and 234 affordable homes for rent with Tirion Homes, alongside an additional 30 properties for low-cost home ownership through Melin Homes.

This year, Lovell Homes achieved a five-star rating with the Home Builders Federation and gold for customer service with In-house Research, meaning an impressive 98 per cent of customers in the South Wales and South West would recommend Lovell to family and friends.
