A Christmas message from Llanelli Town Council by Mayor Linda Steadman
I am delighted to have this opportunity to send my Christmas greetings to all the people of Llanelli via the Llanellitown.com website.
The Town Council has recently agreed to continue its sponsorship of the website, helping it to continue its good work of promoting the town – and there’s plenty to shout about in this great town of ours.
2011 saw work start on a number of exciting projects including the Eastgate development and Llanelly House – by this time next year both of these projects will be nearing completion.
In the sporting arena there have been a number of successes but I want to mention two in particular. Llanelli AFC, The Reds achieved success on a national level by winning the Welsh Cup and then on the international stage our very own Dai Greene became World Champion.
So, as the festive season approaches, let’s look forward to 2012 with confidence and hope that it brings health and prosperity to Llanelli and all its residents.
