The world’s biggest music competition, Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Turin this weekend after Italy won last year with Zitti E Buoni performed by rock band Måneskin, scoring an impressive 524 points. Fan-favourite Graham Norton is back and will be commentating live from Turin for his 13th Eurovision Song Contest on BBC One.
Sam Ryder is representing the United Kingdom with his track SPACE MAN. Ryder rose to fame after going viral on TikTok in 2020. According to BetVictor‘s latest odds, the UK may actually do well this year.
Eurovision Song Contest Winners Odds
- Ukraine 8/15
- Italy 5/1
- Sweden 5/1
- United Kingdom 6/1
- Spain 14/1
- Greece 22/1
- Poland 33/1
- Norway 50/1
- Netherlands 60/1
- Portugal 80/1
Eurovision is always a popular event for a flutter and BetVictor‘s spokesperson Sam Boswell explains where the money has been going.
“This year’s Eurovision will see the shortest-priced favourite ever since we started betting on the song contest. Ukraine understandably are expected to have a groundswell of popular support across Europe.”
“Ukraine has always had strong entries in the competition with two wins since in 2004 and 2016, as well as runner up entries in 2007 and 2008. They are currently 8/15 to win with their Kalush Orchestra entry, I suspect we may see a highest-ever winning total for them come Saturday night.”
“It may surprise a few people to hear how close to the front of the market the United Kingdom are after several poor results in recent years. Sam Ryder’s Space Man has certainly been well received by the Eurovision community and is now as short as 6/1 to win having seen some each-way interest. It looks certain that the UK this year will be avoiding the dreaded nil points for the second year in a row.”
