SYNOPSIS:  A chilling drama exposing the painful struggle of a young couple’s journey into parenthood.  As their relationship fractures under the weight of their isolated despair, a mutual friends growing concern finally forces the couple to confront their reality.

DIRECTORS STATEMENT : *“Just have Faith”- a motto that Actress, Producer and now first time Director Faith Elizabeth has tenaciously clung onto throughout her life. From suffering debilitating Chronic back pain (causing her to drop out of college at 17), to becoming a working-class single Mum at 19, then miscarrying her second baby just after her 21st birthday and escaping an abusive relationship— Faith has fought, against all odds, to not just find, but build her own door into the Film Industry. Carrying a wealth of life experiences, she began acting in Indie Films, then naturally fell into producing others work, while starting Yes She Cannes– an empowerment project supporting women at Cannes Film Festival.

* Following the heart-wrenching grief of miscarriage, experienced by her sister and her best friend, mirroring her own grief, Faith found herself compelled to Write, Direct and Produce the tragic story of “My Baby Cries”.  Drawing on true events, Faith also decided to take on the role of “Sara” in this hauntingly sad film.

* “It felt like a lifetime ago that I inconsolably wept while cradling my daughters baby doll, striving for some kind of comfort, after being told the baby growing inside me didn’t have a heartbeat. But those feelings of immeasurable grief came flooding back years later in the moment my best friend hysterically called me- she was bleeding- she was miscarrying her baby. Just days later, my sister tragically had the same heart-breaking news. “My Baby Cries” tells the tragic story of young couple , Sara and Abe, as they struggle with their journey into parenthood. Isolated in their grief, this story aims to shed a light on and encourage conversations around, the suffering that millions of people struggle with every year. I was very fortunate to find a small, diverse, heavily female, team of Cast and Crew, who passionately believed in the story, to support me in my journey. With 175 crowdfunder backers and the film trending globally on Indiegogo, we were able to finance the project and as a result pay nearly everyone involved for their work.

* We have been working with MAMA ACADEMY- the safer pregnancy charity, which aims to support and educate maternity professionals and expectant parents. Through our film, we hope to raise awareness of this amazing charity’s work, so that more babies arrive safely into our world. https://www.mamaacademy.org.uk
