Louise McNicholas of Ystalyfera was today the lucky winner in the national ‘Free Cat Lottery’. Her cat Max won the prize after being picked out of the hat this morning.

As the winning cat, Max’s photo was shown on the FreeCatLottery.com website and Louise needed to spot that he’d won to claim the cash prize.

Louise was delighted at having won and had already decided on a good way to spend the prize money: “Thank you free cat lottery for my win. Max is a poorly cat, he has feline asthma and has to have a inhaler. I like to spoil him when I can and thanks to my winnings I can buy him a warm comfy bed for the winter.”

The Free Cat Lottery is free to enter – cat owners simply upload a photo of their cat and check back each day to see if they’ve won. Max is the first local cat to have done so.
