Whether you’re a beauty buff, or just looking to stay bang on trend, you will want to know what the most in-demand beauty looks are this spring. With a 450% increase in searches for ‘spring beauty trends’ compared to last year*, it seems very popular to be on trend this season.

To help, Cult Beauty analysed Google search data of 420 beauty trends to discover the most searched for spring beauty trends over the past two months.

The results show that spring 2022 couldn’t be much more optimistic if it tried! The beauty world has been a flurry of colour, sparkle, and 90s obsession this season! The top 20 most searched for beauty trends this spring are as follows:

Body glitter is the most searched for spring beauty trend – 96,100 searches

In the run-up to festival season, it seems we’re going crazy for glitter with a staggering 96,100 searches in the past two months, making it the top beauty trend this spring!

How to wear body glitter is up to you: as a statement across your cheekbones, shoulders, and collarbones or as a subtle shimmer on your arms and legs. Adding a touch of sparkle will bring an element of playfulness to your look, whatever your age and no matter the occasion.

The second most searched for beauty trend is French tip nails with colour, the 85,200 searches prove that the dreary winter days have finally come to an end, and we’re embracing spring in all its glory. Don’t feel restricted to one colour either – try painting each tip a different shade for maximum impact. There’s nothing stopping you from going two-tone, with two contrasting colours per nail.

Coming third in the rankings is glossy lips with 60,500 searches. It’s time to pucker up and maximise our pout with a high shine, gloss finish, as one of the many 90s trends that feature on the list. With textures to suit all, get your lips looking luscious with an oil, gloss, or plumper. It’s an easy shift to bring the runway trend for spring/summer into your daily make up routine.

Among the 20 trends, there’s rainbow and neon bright eye makeup, it seems this season is all about colour! Neon brights are no longer just for raves or children’s parties, with a combined total of 19,300 searches, it appears that many of us are wanting to bring some fun back into our makeup. Just remember the bolder and brighter, the better!

Graphic eyeliner is also making waves in the beauty world this Spring with 22,200 searches, opening eyes to new and exciting ways to play with the classic wing. Geometric shapes and striking bright colours are all the range – how about switching your trusty black to a more colourful hue or play with the lines for a fresh take on your ever faithful eyeliner.
