The Reds gained their first win of the Welsh Premier League season with a morale boosting performance against reigning champions The New Saints.
After a jittery first twenty minutes when TNS passed the ball at will, the Reds finally got into the game and took the lead with a ferociuos left foot drive from Rhys Griffiths after 35 minutes. Owain Warlow got the second after 37 minutes immediately after the visitors were reduced to ten men when Tommy Holmes recieved a red card for striking out at Chris Venables. Alex Darlington reduced the arrears for the champions in the 42nd minute and that was the end of the scoring after both sides struggled to make any clear cut chances in the second half.
