MARTINHAL OPENS LISBON’S COOLEST NEW GIN & COCKTAIL BAR
FATHER’S DAY: FREE COCKTAIL FOR MARTINHAL DADS
Visitors to Lisbon can now enjoy a drink in one of the city’s coolest Gin & Cocktail Bars – the newly refurbished and renamed Bar 1855 in Martinhal Chiado, which just opened this Spring to celebrate that the building has been standing and serving since 1855. This Father’s Day, Sunday 19th June 2022, all families staying at Martinhal Chiado can also treat Dad to their own complimentary cocktail during their stay.
Surrounded by refreshing garden-style interiors, music and beautifully crafted Gin based cocktails, the focus is also on fresh, surprisingly light and thoroughly enjoyable signature cocktails designed with Low & No alcohol drinks for guests to enjoy. The menu is complete with delicious “tapas and pinchos” to enjoy in their upbeat atmosphere and visitors can even explore the art of making their own G&T in the fun and upbeat ambiance in the heart of Chiado.
Martinhal are excited to be working in partnership with award-winning mixologist Peter O’Connor to curate an enviable cocktail list. “The concept of Bar 1855 Gin Garden is to create a menu that caters more towards the low and non-alcoholic cocktails, but to have some beautiful, fresh, bespoke and classic cocktails, too” says Peter O’Connor.
Coffee lovers will not want to miss the smooth Expresso Martini mixing Ketel One vodka, coffee liqueur and freshly brewed espresso, the Pink Lady will seduce fruit and sour flavours’ fans and the Seville Negroni is the option for those who enjoy something a little more bittersweet.
