June 2022: A new study from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis has found male contraceptive pills to be 99% effective in studies on mice, and progress is being made to take this development into human trials.

But, is the UK ready for this new form of contraception? Online pharmacy, The Independent Pharmacy, set out to reveal just that by surveying the Great British general population on their likelihood to take a male birth control pill.

Although we don’t have a clear date for when a male contraceptive pill will be safely available to consumers, The Independent Pharmacy’s survey suggests that when it’s available, the UK will warmly receive this new development with half of the male population likely to take the pill.
