The Open University in Wales has arranged an online open day next week for people to find out more about its flexible study routes into Social Care.

The event will include information on the OU’s introductory module, Introducing health and Social Care, which gives an overview of the sector, using real life examples of professionals in the industry and people who have received support.

The online audience will also hear from students who will share their experiences of studying; and from Dot Williams, a Practice Tutor at the OU, who has worked in the social care sector for several years and has studied with The OU in Wales herself. The event will finish with a live Q and A session where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

OU study is online, which means courses can be studied by anyone, regardless of where they live or at what time of day they choose to learn. There is also an open entry policy, meaning that students will not need any prior qualifications.

The OU in Wales’ online social care open day is on Tuesday 28 June 2022. Sessions can be booked between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, and 6pm-7pm. To find out more or reserve a place, visit open.ac.uk/wales/en/events
