With so much lingo used in TV shows, have you ever questioned what are the most common words heard on screen? 

A new study by Preply answers just this. The team have trawled hundreds of hours of TV to find out which are the most commonly used words on television – and surprisingly enough it’s the word know that’s used most commonly – with an average of 472 uses per hour.

Taking into account shows from 2022, the team have studied scripts of varying genres to break down the frequency of word usage in each one. Ranking each word out of a usage score of 15780, the averages were revealed…
