They say art imitates life, and indeed it does in Roger Weis’ revised, thought-provoking novel. In the 60s, Weis was drafted from Marshall University to serve as a reporter for the U.S. Army in Vietnam. The war had a profound effect on him and ignited a passion for nonprofit work, a passion that would evolve into a career as a professor of nonprofit leadership studies. About the Author

National best-selling author, Dr. Roger Weis began writing coastal poetry when he was fourteen years old. When he was drafted from college in the 60s, he became a reporter in Vietnam.  Afterwards, he completed undergraduate and graduate degrees at MU then completed a doctorate at the University of Kentucky. His first eleven published books were textbooks, two of which were the #1 seller in the academic sector. He is also the author of three books of poetry. Marissa’s Secret -Revised Edition is his fifteenth book. Professor emeritus at Murray State University, he lives in Murray, KY.
