A NEW video has been launched to increase awareness of the five main causes of road traffic collisions and injuries in Wales.
This week is national Road Safety Week and the council’s road safety team is working with the police and fire service to raise awareness of road safety issues.
The FATAL 5, originally developed by North Wales Police, includes speeding, careless driving, driving while using a mobile phone, driving on drink / drugs, and failing to wear a seatbelt.
This video is a collaboration by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and Road Safety Wales.
Executive Board Member for Transport Cllr Hazel Evans said: “This is an excellent resource to remind drivers of the five main causes of road traffic accidents and hopefully change their behaviour for good.”
