Pembrokeshire County Council’s Joint Strategic Commissioning Team has received high commendation at an awards ceremony in Cardiff.
Its Communication and Engagement Framework was shortlisted in the final three nominations for the ‘Involvement and Engagement’ award at this year’s Cymorth Cymru Promoting Independence Awards Ceremony.
The ceremony provided Welsh local authorities and community and voluntary organisations with the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the work being carried out within homelessness, housing and social care sectors.
The Framework was developed in partnership between the Council, Hywel Dda University Health Board and PAVS (Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services) to help improve communication between commissioners, service providers and citizens in Pembrokeshire.
It has already been endorsed by the Pembrokeshire Local Service Board and cited as best practice by Participation Cymru, the lead body for public, service user and staff engagement in Wales.
