Cross Hands library has re-opened at a new temporary location.

Members can now enjoy a large number of new books, new DVDs , CDs and audio books at the Public Hall which is located behind the cinema.

The move comes after the former Carmarthen Road building was closed last year due to health and safety issues.

At the new location visitors can access the world’s largest online news stand  Zinio freely, which serves a collection of popular titles with no holds, no checkout periods, and no limit to the number of magazines you can download. You can also borrow e-Books and e-Audiobooks online or with the library app. Also to be found, is a new state of the art self service RFID machine.

Opening times are Mondays, 12-4pm, Thursdays, 10am-1pm and 2-5pm and Saturdays 10am-1pm.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s executive board member for libraries, Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “We’re thrilled to have secured a new temporary location for Cross Hands library and hope it will have regular visitors as the library has something of offer everyone. As well as traditional lending libraries now have a vast range of online services.”
