Coventry-based ZPN Energy is working with E.ON Drive to provide a fully carbon-neutral powered exhibition stand, initially intended to be first unveiled at Motofest in Coventry which was subsequently cancelled due to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s passing.
Instead, the 50 kWh ZPN PWR mobile, off-grid power unit powered ZPN Energy’s stand at the Professional Tow Recovery show using renewable energy from an off-site source – proving that exhibitors can use green energy, even off-grid.
The unit, designed and manufactured in Coventry, was adapted from ZPN Energy’s ZAPME Mobile EV Charger. The trailer-housed solution was pre-charged with 100% renewable energy and powered the show stand for the entire two-day event. This silent power source allows exhibitors to be kind to the environment even while off-grid, unlike diesel generators.
James Foster, CEO of ZPN Energy says, “Festivals are a mainstay of British life now, and exhibitors are an integral part of that ecosystem. Until now they have struggled to find climate-friendly ways to show off their wares, but ZPN PWR changes this forever!”
Whether powering a bar, food stall or even the main stage, ZPN PWR can be used to offer renewable energy silently and with minimal space.
Coventry is well known for its role in driving UK manufacturing innovation -from World War 2 fighter aircraft factories to its place today as the UK’s Motor City.
James concludes, “I’m proud to lead a company with such strong ties to Coventry! As a team, we’re honoured to be showing off what our engineers are doing to revolutionise the world of renewable energy solutions with this great technology. Coventry engineers are breaking new ground when it comes to making our lives kinder to the planet – whilst having fun at the same time!”
Meanwhile, Mark Daniels, Director of Motofest title sponsor E.ON Drive, adds: “Engaging people in the importance of shifting to lower carbon motoring depends on us making the clear benefits to drivers and the planet understood.”
Prior to ZPN PWR being available if event organisers wanted clean power for an off-grid event using renewable energy they really would struggle. ZPN PWR gives a choice to the eco-minded and makes a stand for the way of the future!
