Green fingered residents of the Gwendraeth Valley and surrounding areas are being given the opportunity to grow their own fruit and vegetables while getting fit, saving money and making new friends.

There are a number of plot sizes available, with 60 sq m being the most widely available or larger can be provided if required.

Group secretary, Phil Snaith said, “Every season we have a few plots available, and we welcome keen gardeners to our peaceful, attractive and very productive acre!! Those who might consider taking a plot on for season 2017 should also get in touch.”

The allotment site in Llannon was developed in 2012, and transformed an acre of ex pasture land into a community allotment which boasts 34 plots, an orchard, a sustainable water supply, a wetland area for wildlife and good access.
