Legacies are important to us at St John Ambulance Cymru, and as a charity with over 100 years of unbroken service we are very proud of ours.
Now, being part of our legacy is easier than ever thanks to partnerships with two will-writing services who help make the process of writing, or updating, your will as simple and straightforward as possible
We’ve partnered with the National Free Wills Network to give you the opportunity to write your will in person with a participating qualified solicitor local to your home. If you’re looking to write your will online, our partnership with Guardian Angel gives you the opportunity to do this.
There’s no obligation to leave a gift to St John Ambulance Cymru, but we hope you will consider us after providing for your loved ones. A gift to St John Ambulance Cymru, no matter the size, could help us build a nation of lifesavers and realise our vision of first aid for everyone, anytime, anywhere.
Gwen’s father, Ted, wanted to leave St John Ambulance Cymru a gift in his will, “My father Edward (Ted) Watkin Evans was a very proud member of St John for over 45 years. His service gave him a purpose, skills, opportunities and lifelong friendships.
He often provided first aid cover at local flower shows and sports events but it also gave him the opportunity to share his skills and support at Royal visits, a state funeral and even an early Beatles concert.
He was honoured to be an Officer Brother of the Order and was able to pass on his enthusiasm to his family. First Aid is a skill for life and he was determined to leave something in his will to help continue this good work.”
In 2021 we trained 25,412 people the length and breadth of Wales in life saving first aid, with 1,274 Badgers and Cadets learning first aid as part of one of our youth programmes. A gift in your will, can allow us to continue our mission to enhance the health and well-being of communities in Wales for generations to come.
Nichola Couceiro, Head of Fundraising, Communication and Engagement at St John Ambulance Cymru said, “We are always so humbled to be remembered with a gift in someone’s will, as we know what a big decision it is.
Gifts in wills are crucial to the continuation of our lifesaving services across Wales, as they help to ensure that we can provide treatment to those who need it, as well as the training, equipment and support our volunteers and young people need to save lives.
We hope that our free will-writing services will make the process of writing a will that little bit easier. We promise that your gift will be used wisely and effectively to ensure it has the greatest impact, and reflects your wishes.
Your gift will allow us to continue to there when we are needed most, both now and in the future.”
By remembering St John Ambulance Cymru in your will, you’ll be helping us to plan for the future, and look ahead confidently. For more information please contact our Legacies Team on legacies@sjacymru.org.uk or 07522 570597
