Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking people’s views on its housing allocations policy.
An online consultation is underway on the council’s website, which asks everyone to give their opinion on proposals to change it.
The council’s housing department will soon be reviewing the allocation policy, to take into account new housing legislation and local housing need.
Findings from the consultation will help inform officers and members ahead of future decisions.
Cllr Linda Evans, Executive Board Member for Housing, said: “We want to build up a better picture about what people want, and who they think deserves priority when homes become available.
“Of course, we must meet our legal obligations, but the feedback will help us ensure that we offer homes to applicants in the fairest and most appropriate way.”
The consultation will be live until March 14, and the final Access to Social Housing Policy will be published in June 2016.
