RWP Bunny Run 2023

Barry Island seafront was hopping with fun last Sunday morning for the first Calon Hearts 2k Barry Island Easter Bunny Run, starting outside Marco’s café.  This was the first of what will be an annual event to raise vital funds for Calon Hearts to provide community-placed defibrillators and potentially lifesaving Heartscreening sessions.   Calon Hearts thanks all the Bunny Fun Runners as well as The Mayor of Barry, Councillor Helen Payne, for starting the race and joining in!  Watch this space for details of next year’s Easter Bunny Run!

Calon Hearts was founded 10 years ago and since that time, has installed nearly 26,000 defibrillators, trained nearly 85,000 in CPR and screened nearly 8,000 for life-threatening heart defects.  The charity is determined to continue its life-saving work but relies solely on the generosity and support of the public to do this.

Why not help by volunteering at one of our events or offering some office support?  Even the occasional hour or two would be so appreciated.  Contact us on 02922 402670 or email bridget@calonhearts.org for details.
