New data sourced from TikTok has ranked the best walking spots in Wales for families to visit for free this Easter, with Snowdonia National Park coming out on top. 

The Easter holidays are the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with family, and as we enter the Spring season, there is no better place to do this than the great outdoors. However, with so many beautiful trails to choose from in Wales, it can be difficult to know where to begin.  

Luckily, TikTok is here to help, with millions of users taking to the popular site to share their favourite walking spots with their followers.  

By analysing TikTok hashtag data on some of Wales’ most-loved locations, researchers at Little-Loans.com have revealed the top walking spots for a FREE family day out near you this Easter.  

Which Welsh walking routes are the most popular on TikTok?  

Using a shortlist of some of Wales’ most well-known walking trails, researchers at Little-Loans.com investigated the number of views recorded on each location’s corresponding TikTok hashtag to determine which walks are the most popular on the platform.  

Coming out on top is Snowdonia National Park, with #snowdonia currently racking up a staggering 117.6 MILLION views on TikTok from users watching videos related to the hashtag.  

Not far behind is Pembrokeshire. On TikTok, #pembrokeshire has amassed 85.2 million views. Also scoring highly with TikTok viewers is Brecon Beacons National Park, with #breconbeacons recording 27.6 million views.

What can families see and do at Wales’ top three walking spots this Easter? 

Snowdonia National Park 

Snowdonia, known in Welsh as Eryri, is the largest national park in Wales. Its 823 square miles of land consists of 11,000 acres of woodland and 74 miles of coastline, leaving plenty of walking routes for families to explore this Easter. Snowdonia is perhaps best known for being home to Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), with the iconic mountain attracting over 4 million people to the national park each year, with many attempting the challenging hike.  

Pembrokeshire 

The Welsh county of Pembrokeshire is a beloved holiday location, with endless options to keep all the family entertained. The region’s stunning coastal walks are one of its biggest draws, with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Walk taking visitors through the county’s over 50 beaches and some of Wales’ most captivating harbours, towns, villages and seaside trails.  

Brecon Beacons National Park 

Brecon Beacons National Park offers multiple walking routes for all different abilities, making it the perfect walking location for the Easter holidays. With fields, hills, lakes, woodland, caves, and cliffs to trail through, this open space provides endless possibilities for where your family day out can take you.
