Dear Editor

Ignorance is not always bliss

How many readers fully appreciate that UK energy and economic salvation can easily be achieved by Fracking, CCGT Power Stations, Space-Based Solar Power (SBSP) and eventually Nuclear Fusion Power Stations – the holy grail of power generation. It begs the question as to what dark forces are at work to impose eye-watering priced Nuclear Fission Power Stations and unreliable large-scale Wind/Solar farms upon us? A glance at your recent energy bill dear reader will quickly expose the  technological and economic incontinence of our political leaders. Wind generation strategy has now out-classed anything that could be thrown up at the Mad Hatters Tea Party with gargantuan wind generators proposed for Wales and unbelieveably floating wind farms for the Celtic Sea. It is mind boggling that £26bn (and rising) is being spent on a fission plant at Hinkley Point situated on low lying coast that experiences the second highest tidal range on the planet – surely Government is aware of the Great Flood (1607) in the Bristol Channel – I will not mention Japan! You have to wonder what the Government is playing at when a single SBSP Power Station costing a lot less than Hinkley Point, could supply electricity for the whole of Wales, making ALL existing Welsh ground-based power generation redundant – this is fact and not science fiction – remember we have had a similar technology such as television from space for over 30 years – indeed the Sky’s the limit (please pardon the pun)!
