FAW Roadshow at Stebo tonight

Tonight (Monday 20th February 2012) at 7pm, the Football Association of Wales will be holding a Roadshow at Llanelli FC Social Club at Stebonheath Park.

The event is to help publicise the UEFA Women’s Under 19 Finals that are being hosted in South West Wales in August 2013. This will be the first time that Wales has hosted such a prestigious event.

Wales National Women’s team’s manager, Jarmo Matikainen will be present, with Head of FAW Public Affairs, Ian Gwyn Hughes to talk about the event and to look for volunteers who may be interested in assisting in various capacities to make the tournament a success. These include such areas as: stewarding, driving, liaison officers, media and hosting.

Eight teams will take part in the finals, including Wales as hosts. All the players will have been born in 1994 or later.

On hand will be Tournament Director, Rebecca Crockett, Women’s Youth Teams administrator, Angela Roberts and the FAW Historian, Ceri Stennett.

A special guest will also be new National Team Manager, Chris Coleman, who will be coming-along to endorse the event. There will be plenty of FAW give-aways and a chance to win a signed Wales Football by the men’s senior squad.

Come along and see how you can be ‘Part of the Team’.
